At this appointment, Dr. Kosdon takes the time to understand your smile concerns and the final outcome you would like to achieve—this also includes connecting with you on a personal level and learning about your lifestyle. Knowing your cosmetic preferences, personality, and goals are foundational to creating a smile you’ll love.
Dr. Kosdon will also perform a comprehensive evaluation of your oral health, which includes an in-depth exam and diagnostic dental scans. This process allows Dr. Kosdon to establish the current condition of your teeth, gums, and bite to determine which treatments may be most beneficial for creating your new smile.
Smile Analysis
The smile analysis process involves a cosmetic evaluation of your current smile, features, and overall appearance. Dr. Kosdon will take precise measurements and digital photos to help him visualize and design a new smile that harmonizes with your aesthetic strengths. Smile Design
Dr. Kosdon integrates the information gathered during the consultation, exam, and smile analysis to develop your new smile design. Your 3D scans and images are processed using powerful state-of-the-art design software, which allows Dr. Kosdon to change the shade, size, shape, length, and alignment of teeth digitally to suit your desired outcome and achieve optimal aesthetics. You’ll get to digitally preview your new smile before giving Dr. Kosdon your approval.
Temporary Veneers
Your smile transformation begins with preparing your teeth and placing the temporary veneers and/or restorations designed by Dr. Kosdon. This “trial” smile allows you to try out your new smile for a few weeks and determine whether you’d like to make any adjustments before your permanent restorations are placed.
Veneer Refinement
Based on your trial smile experience, changes can be made to the design of your final veneers and/or restorations before they are crafted at the dental lab.
Final Result
Once your permanent veneers and/or restorations arrive from the dental lab, you can have your temporaries removed and your final smile completed. Dr. Kosdon checks the fit and appearance of each veneer or crown to ensure comfort, optimal aesthetics, and a proper bite. He may make tiny adjustments, if needed, before the restorations are bonded in place. Finally, you can enjoy your beautiful, long-lasting new smile!
